**The first-year and transfer applications for 2026 are now open.**\
\
**First-year application:** The first-year application is for those planning to enter college in the fall of 2026 who have not matriculated to another degree-granting institution.\
\
**Transfer application:** The transfer application is intended for students who will have completed at least one year of college/university before entering MIT. Transfer applicants will enter in the spring or fall of 2026. \
