Student leadership is at the heart of an effort that brings together student, faculty, and staff efforts for the betterment of the entire BE community. These volunteer positions lead, organize, coordinate, collaborate, implement, and maintain a myriad of initiatives that have direct positive and inspirational impacts on our community. Represented here are these leadership groups with links to the pages that detail their membership and roles.

BEUB

The BE Undergraduate Board (BEUB) are student-elected undergraduates dedicated to enhancing the Course 20 experience. Positions include leadership, professional development, public relations, FPOP coordination, and more.

BE Graduate Student Board

The BE Graduate Board are student-elected graduates that work to enhance the PhD program experience from First-year through to thesis defense. Efforts from this team represent graduate student views and interest, work to improve graduate student life, and promote departmental unification.

BE REFS

REFS stands for Resources for Easing Friction and Stress. It is a peer support program trained in mediation and conflict resolution. The BE REFS provide low-barrier, confidential services through coaching, listening, mentoring and mediation. It is an important source of support for BE students as they navigate the challenges of a vigorous graduate school program.
