Career Advising and Professional Development

Offers resources for every step of career development from writing your first resume and applying for your first job to negotiating your offer and ensuring your success. You can view online resources or schedule an appointment to meet with a career counselor for personalized advice.

Mentoring

Mentors can provide you with valuable knowledge and guidance in your academic, personal, and professional development. The Office of the First Year provides a thorough guide on finding and working with a mentor*.*

Study abroad and summer opportunities

The flexibility in our curriculum allows students to take advantage of opportunities outside the traditional classroom setting. The Office of Global Education provides information and support for students interested in pursuing international study, internships, and research during the academic year or the summer.

Applying to graduate or medical school

Many seniors choose to pursue graduate or medical school after MIT. You can learn more about the application process at information sessions co-sponsored by the Biology Department and the Biology Undergraduate Student Association (BUSA).
