## Academic support
Subjects in chemistry at MIT, as well as the undergraduate and graduate programs, are primarily supported by the Chemistry Education Office.
While answers to many questions about the undergraduate and graduate programs can be found online, current students are also encouraged to reach out to **Chemistry Education Office Staff** (see below). The Chemistry Education Office is open from 8:30am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday and is in 6-205.

Jennifer Weisman administers both the undergraduate and graduate programs in chemistry. She counsels and advises chemistry PhD students, undergraduate majors, and other non-major undergraduates on department programs and policies. She also oversees the operation of the Chemistry Education Office and administers all education activities in the department.

Jan Afza Sarwari provides direct support to the graduate program, from graduate admissions through degree completion. She manages graduate student appointments including fellowships. She oversees the department’s Visiting Weekend and Peer Mentoring program. She supports recruitment efforts (such as the ACCESS Program), onboarding/orientation, and thesis milestones & defenses.

Rashmi provides direct support to the Chemistry Education Office and the undergraduate program. She oversees ChemCafe, Campus Preview Weekend (CPW), and the Undergraduate Award Banquet. Rashmi also processes UROP and visiting student appointments as well as undergraduate forms, including transfer credit applications and minor forms.

Angelina Reveron-Toro provides direct support to all undergraduate and graduate chemistry subjects, including course planning, grading and evaluations, accommodations, registration, classroom reservations, maintaining course management websites and other platforms (such as Canvas). She also manages the department’s Tutoring program, ChemWellness program, Discover Chemistry, and seminar *Colloquium series: Research on the Mind.*
