Explores three-dimensional art work, including sculptures and installations, from design to model to finished piece. The course addresses challenges associated with design and fabrication, process, context, and relationships between objects, the body, and physical or cultural environments. In case of on-line semester the workshop aspect of the class will focus on exploring machine learning platform RunwayML and its possible applications to create three dimensional models for small scale on-demand 3D printing.

Lectures, screenings, readings, and debates supplement the class. Graduate and undergraduate workload and evaluation criteria vary accordingly.
