# Winners of the 2010 Demetriades - Tsafka - Kokkalis Prizes Announced

The student winners of the 2010 [Demetriades - Tsafka - Kokkalis Prizes](https://aph.caltech.edu/demetriades/) were announced at a special luncheon with the Demetriades - Tsafka – Kokkalis family. [Xiquan Cui](http://biophot.caltech.edu/people/cui.html) received the prize in Biotechnology for his work on [biophotonics](http://www.biophot.caltech.edu/research/index.html) with Professor [Changhuei Yang](http://www.biophot.caltech.edu/people/yang.html); Matt Eichenfield received the prize in Nanotechnology for his work in [nanomechanics](http://copilot.caltech.edu/) with Professor [Oskar Painter](http://www.aph.caltech.edu/people/painter_o.html); [Morgan Putnam](http://www.directory.caltech.edu/cgi-bin/search.cgi?uid=putnam) received the prize in Entrepreneurship for work on [silicon solar cells](http://daedalus.caltech.edu/) with Professor [Harry Atwater](http://www.aph.caltech.edu/people/atwater_h.html); and [Andrew May](http://www.directory.caltech.edu/cgi-bin/search.cgi?uid=may) received the prize in Environmentally Benign Renewable Energy Sources for his work on [thermoelectric materials](http://www.thermoelectrics.caltech.edu/index.htm) with Professor Sossina Haile and Dr. [Jeff Snyder](http://www.thermoelectrics.caltech.edu/jsnyder/index.html).
