Greer](https://aph.caltech.edu/people/jrgreer), Ruben F. and Donna Mettler Professor of Materials Science, Mechanics and Medical Engineering; Executive Officer for Applied Physics and Materials Science has been selected to the class of [2026 MRS Fellows](https://www.mrs.org/advancing-careers/award-central/spring-awards/mrs-fellows/list-of-mrs-fellows/2026) for contributions to 3D nano- and micro-architected materials including the lightest solid materials, recoverable, damage- tolerant, and thermally-tunable hollow ceramic nanolattices, the lightest silicon lithium ion battery, and tissue scaffolds.
