Recruit and post jobs on the Next Steps Platform
Next Steps Caltech is a platform that allows employers to post jobs and internships, register for industry days, arrange information sessions, coffee chats, interviews (on-campus and virtual), and other networking events.
How to Sign Up
- Log onto Symplicity using this url: https://caltech-csm.symplicity.com/
- Select "Organizations" as user type.
- Click "Sign Up" Button, and complete as much Employer Information as possible.
- Click "Submit"
Approval Process
Your account will be reviewed. If approved, you will receive a confirmation email with instructions on how to login and set up your password. Each contact person within your organization may set up a separate account and all information pertaining to the employer (employer profile, job postings, applications, etc.) will be accessible by all contacts with the same (requested and granted) access. Please note, however, that each contact must have a distinct email address. Therefore, general office email addresses (such as "recruiting @techfirm.com") cannot be used for more than one person.

Host an Information Session ($125/event)
Information sessions are common among employers who want to give presentations and build a presence with a target audience. These meetings are valuable for both students and employers, but time of day and year can affect attendance. Ideal times to host sessions are Monday- Friday from 12-1pm PST, or between 4-5pm PST. Information sessions can be requested through Next Steps Caltech.
Host a Coffee Chat or Office Hours ($125/event)
Coffee chats are beneficial for connecting with students 1:1 or in small groups. Students can schedule up to a 30 minute time slot to meet with your organization's representatives. These informal online or in-person chats allow students/postdocs to learn more about your organization, ask about your application process, receive feedback on job materials, and discuss expectations for interviews.
Interview Students or Postdocs ($100/day/room)
CALE offers employers the opportunity to schedule interview dates, collect applications, and conduct interviews. Our office has several private interview rooms available with full internet access and whiteboards. Interviews can be scheduled Monday through Friday between 9am-5pm PT (subject to availability.) The interview process can be requested through Next Steps Caltech.
Host a Networking Dinner ($750/event)
One of CALE's signature events is networking dinners. Employers who recruit at Caltech have the unique opportunity to host a dinner for up to eight students or postdocs at the Athenaeum (Caltech's faculty club) or virtually through a video platform. Participants selected by partners, learn more about organization culture and fit in a small setting, and companies spend more time with potential candidates.
Career Fairs and Industry Days
Caltech is hosting virtual career fairs with Harvey Mudd College and in person industry days throughout the year. We offer many small format methods for connecting with students. Talk to the recruiting team to design a package that works for you and Caltech.
