If you are a student at Chalmers, you can be marked as confidential in the population register if necessary. This applies to protected addresses and/or protected personal data.

Protected personal data

If you have a confidentiality mark in the population register, this may mean that you need to protect your personal data in connection with your studies.\ In this case, contact the confidentiality officer at UHR/antagning.se, who will consult with you and give you a fictitious name and personal identity number. This will be entered on antagning.se, thereby protecting your real details.

Your information, together with your admission to studies, is then transferred to Ladok (Chalmers' student documentation system) for further processing by our Ladok privacy officer. At Chalmers, only two officers are authorised to handle this information.

You will be contacted by Chalmers' privacy officer, who will provide you with information about how the university handles students with protected personal data.

If you have any questions, please contact Systems Management. Please note that you should never give your real name when contacting us; always use your new fictitious name!\ Once the fictitious information has been entered into Ladok, it will also be available in other systems linked to Ladok, including Canvas and Inspera.

Protected address

If you have been granted a protected address, Ladok will automatically receive information that your address has been removed from Ladok due to the need for protection. Chalmers' privacy officer will handle the matter by checking that the address has been removed from Ladok. If you have any questions, please contact Systems Management.

If you would like to read more about protected personal data, further information is available at Skatteverket and Antagning.se.
