## Autumn courses 2026

### Renewable power generation and electric transportation 3,5 cr

The need for electrical energy is constantly increasing, but the production of electrical power must be environmentally friendly for development to be sustainable. You will gain basic knowledge about the performance of power generation with wind power, solar power, wave power, and hydropower. The function of electricity transport is also covered, such as when it comes to electric vehicles with battery storage.

### Policymaking for climate action and circular economy 5 cr

Environmental policy is becoming more comprehensive and complex in the face of challenging sustainability transitions, such as climate change and the energy crisis. The course helps you understand and navigate environmental policy instruments in your own practice and future work, for example by identifying business opportunities or ways to address environmental challenges more effectively.

### Policymaking for climate action and circular economy: Project course 2,5 cr

The course is an advanced complement for those who are currently studying or have previously completed the course "Policymaking for climate and circular economy."

[## Courses from our ordinary range of education

If you have a degree from Chalmers or an academic degree from another university you can apply for courses that are part of our programmes. If you are accepted, you study on campus during daytime according to the regular schedule together with students who follow the programme. Keep in mind that the content of then freestanding courses often overlaps with programme courses at Chalmers. If you plan to include one of the freestanding courses in your degree from your programme, it is important that you first confirm with the programme's Director of Studies that this is possible.
