## Assistant Professor to progress the transition to future transport solutions
Gothenburg has a strong transport scene, including automotive manufacturers such as Volvo AB and Volvo Cars, a technology hub for aerospace, and the largest port in Scandinavia. The vision of Transport at Chalmers is “Sustainable, safe, efficient, effective, and inclusive transport systems”. In close collaboration with industry and society, we join forces in three profile areas related to freight and passenger transport: logistics and personal mobility, transport technologies, and traffic and transport safety.
The research spans several departments, including but not limited to:

- Computer Science and Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Industrial and Materials Science
- Mathematical Sciences
- Mechanics and Maritime Science
- Space, Earth and Environment
