# Running Chalmers software on your own computer

Using Chalmers Apps is easy. Whenever you need a piece of software, you install it directly from the cloud and run it on a computer of choice, e.g. a StuDAT computer or your own.

**As a student, you will automatically receive access to Chalmers Apps when you have registered for your programme.**

### What to do before your first course begins

Before your first course begins, it is recommended that you install the AppsAnywhere app on your private computer. This app makes it possible to access the Chalmers Apps software portal.
