# MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication)

Activating MFA takes about 5–10 minutes. You need the Microsoft Authenticator app on your phone and add your account in the app. When you need to log in with MFA, the service will notify you, and you confirm in the app that it’s you logging in.
## Download Microsoft Authenticator
If you don’t already have the Microsoft Authenticator app on your phone, start by installing it.

## Add your account in Microsoft Authenticator
You can add your account in two ways.
### Add your account with a QR code (your phone + a computer)
### Add your account using sign-in (your phone)
## Reset MFA in MyAccount
If your MFA login doesn’t work, you can reset MFA and then add your account in Microsoft Authenticator again.
Reset MFA in MyAccount: After logging in, select **MFA for Office – Reset**.
**MyAccount: CID administration**In MyAccount you can administrate your Chalmers account (CID).
