## Have you heard? Important changes in the selection procedure for computer science, architecture, and spatial planning

The selection procedure for computer science, architecture as well as spatial planning at TU Wien starts on April 1 and runs until May 4, 2026.

#### Bachelor Programme study field informatics

For the bachelor's programme in the study field informatics 670 places are assigned in the coming academic year. The allocation of the places takes place in a collective two-stage admission procedure (online self-assessment and ranking test). This regulation applies to all the Bachelor's Programmes of Computer Science: Informatic, Computer Engineering and Business Informatics. Prerequisite for the participation in the selection procedure is the (pre-)registration in TISS. This is possible between April 1 and May 4 and applies to the 2026/27 winter semester and the 2027 summer semester.

- (pre-)registration from April 1, 2026 to May 4, 2026
- online-self-assessment must be completed until May 4, 2026
- pay the fee, must be confirmed in TISS until May 4, 2026
- ranking test on site expected on July 13, 2026

### Bachelor Programme Architecture

For the bachelor's programme Architecture 625 places are assigned in the coming academic year. The allocation of the places takes place in a three-stage selection procedure (motivational letter, online self-assessment and ranking test).\
Prerequisite for the participation in the selection procedure is the (pre-)registration in TISS. This is possible between April 1 and May 4 and applies to the 2026/27 winter semester and the 2027 summer semester.

- (pre-)registration from April 1, 2026 to May 4, 2026
- upload motivational letter until May 4, 2026
- online-self-assessment must be completed until May 4, 2026
- pay the fee, must be confirmed in TISS until May 4, 2026

### Bachelor Programme Spatial Planning

For the bachelor's programme Spatial Planning, 200 places are available for each academic year. The allocation of the places takes place in a two-stage selection procedure (motivational letter and ranking test). Prerequisite for participating in the selection process is the (pre-)registration in TISS. This is possible between April 1 and May 4 and applies to the 2026/27 winter semester and the 2027 summer semester.
