## bright minds – bright future: wingnet after-work event on 6 March 2026

Research, industry, consulting or start-up – which path is right for me? Many people ask themselves this question during their studies. wingnet would like to address this very issue at the wingnet Afterwork event on 6 March and present four different career paths from first-hand experience.

### The speakers

- , CEO/Managing Director of Stadler Austria GmbH and President of the Association Austrian Rail Industry (VBI); graduate engineer in Mechanical Engineering – Management at . – Field: Industry
- , Strategy Consultant at Accenture Austria and CEO and co-founder of the TravelTech startup CityRiddler GmbH; graduate engineer in Mechanical Engineering – Management at , doctorate (Dr. techn.) in December 2022 at with a dissertation on multi-criteria evaluation models for industrial assistance systems. –  Field: Consulting
- , CEO and co-founder of Inmox GmbH; graduate engineer in Mechanical Engineering at with a focus on transmission technology for aviation and materials science. Inmox is officially a spin-off. – Field: Startup
- **Paul Heinz Mayrhofer**, university professor of materials science at the Institute of Materials Science and Technology at , dean of studies at the Faculty of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at, and head of the “Thin Film Materials Science” research group. Habilitation in on the topic of nanostructured design of hard thin films. Postdoctoral stays at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (USA), RWTH Aachen University, and Linköping University (Sweden), the latter as an Erwin Schrödinger Fellow – field: research.

Each speaker will give a 30-minute insight into their own career and present a future-oriented topic from their respective industry – areas where a lot is happening right now and where young talent is in demand. After the presentations, it's time for networking: during the buffet and breakout sessions, you can talk directly to the speakers and exchange ideas.
