Mathematics has played an important role in the development of science and technology for centuries. The bachelor’s programs in Technical Mathematics at TU Wien provide a solid education in the fundamental areas of mathematics, along with the opportunity to specialize according to your interests, which you can further deepen in one of the master’s programs. For example, by completing the bachelor’s and master’s programs in Financial and Actuarial Mathematics, you can fulfill the theoretical part of the Austrian actuarial training.

TU Wien is the only university in Austria that offers the complete actuarial training program.

There is no selection procedure for the Bachelor's degree programmes in Technical Mathematics. Instead, before being admitted, you must engage with the contents of the programme as part of the so-called Study Preparation and Reflection Phase (Programme-PRe-Phase).
