What is admission?
Admission to a university degree programme represents the formal start of studies. Admission can be granted each semester only during the admission period upon coming personally at the Admission Office. Here, applicants can enrol for all regular degree programmes (Bachelor's, Master's and Doctoral programmes) or non-degree programmes (attendance of individual courses, university entrance qualification examination etc.). Upon first-time admission to a degree programme at an Austrian university, each student is assigned a so-called ‘student ID’.
