PR and Marketing
Eventmanagement

Welcome to the Corporate Communications Department at TU Wien! Our goal is to build bridges – between science and the public, students and staff, as well as external partners and decision-makers. Our work is divided into several specialist areas and key central roles:

Public Relations and Marketing

“PR” takes care of the university's external image, builds relationships with the media, and shapes the TU Wien brand in digital and analog communication channels. From press relations and social media to creative campaign development, the focus is on clear and authentic communication.

Event Management

The Event Management team brings science to life and organizes events ranging from specialist symposia to public events that present TU Wien as a place of innovation and interaction. With attention to detail and professional project management, inspiring moments are created.

Chief Communication Officer

The Chief Communication Officer is responsible for TU Wien's strategic communication with its target groups and also acts as TU Wien's press spokesperson.

Stakeholder Management

In the Corporate Communications Department, we maintain dialogue with decision-makers and plan TU Wien's strategic communications. Together, we work to raise the profile and position TU Wien as a leading technical university in Austria and internationally – transparently, authentically, and to the point.

A new Science-Policy Engagement Guideline has been developed, providing reliable guidance to management bodies and scientists at TU Wien, who are ex officio in contact with political actors, decision-makers and/or the public on science-related topics, for example, through participation in advisory bodies or through research and service contracts for political institutions.
