The program is designed for engineers and technical experts who want to expand their competencies beyond technology and gain strategic skills in marketing and sales. In today’s highly competitive and digitalized markets, technical excellence alone is often not sufficient – companies increasingly seek professionals who can connect technological innovation with market needs and customer value.
Through a combination of theory and practical application, participants learn how to develop effective marketing strategies, design modern sales processes, and communicate complex technical solutions in a compelling way. Interactive teaching formats such as case studies, group work, and discussions ensure that participants can directly apply the concepts in real-world business contexts.
The compact program focuses on key competencies including market and customer management, marketing and sales planning, performance metrics, and the development of communication strategies across digital and traditional channels. Participants also gain insights into customer segmentation and the design of effective sales funnels and processes.
The course is aimed primarily at professionals from industrial and production companies with a technical or scientific background who want to prepare for management roles or strategically broaden their expertise in marketing and sales.
The next edition of the program is scheduled in two block modules:
- Module 1: May 28–30, 2026
- Module 2: June 18–20, 2026
Participants who complete the program receive a certificate from TU Wien, with the option to obtain 6 ECTS credits upon successful completion of the course requirements.
By offering the program in English, TU Wien aims to make this continuing education opportunity accessible to a wider international community of engineers seeking to strengthen their business and market competencies.\ \ More information
