# IoE Faculty Scheme (Inbound)

The IoE Research Initiatives also promotes internationalization via the IoE Faculty Scheme. Eminent researchers from different universities and institutes globally are invited to collaborate with the potential Centres of Excellence.

## Purpose

Institutes globally are invited to collaborate with the potential Centres of
Excellence. The faculty are invited to visit the campus, engage in
collaborative research and scientific discussions, and participate in
lecture series over 2-12 weeks. Currently, over 90 faculty across the world
have availed visiting faculty positions. The International Visiting Faculty
will be paid a consolidated remuneration equivalent to their levels in the
IITM pay scale.

Apart from improving international mobility of inbound and outbound faculty
and students, the scheme also opens up vistas of MoUs, Joint Degrees and
Research Programs.

Applications should be made through IITM Faculty.

## Guidelines

- Faculty worldwide are invited to collaborate with our Centres of
  Excellence.
- Faculty members may visit the campus for collaborative research,
  scientific discussions, and lecture series lasting between 2 to 12 weeks.
- Visiting faculty will receive consolidated remuneration equivalent to
  their levels in the IITM pay scale.
- Airfare Economy class (round trip) and cab charges (Airport -
  IITM-Airport) will be reimbursed.
