Organisation profile
Organisation profile
The School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering aims to promote sustainable processes and materials to meet the energy and healthcare demands of the future.
The financial support provided by the University and the McClay Trust which has allowed the recruitment of outstanding staff in recent years. Through these investments the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering has developed research at Queen's which is now recognized as "world-leading" in the areas of Catalysis and Materials. A wide range of research opportunities are available within the School in the Centre for Theory and Application of Catalysis (CenTACat), Innovative Molecular Materials (IMM), Synthetic and Bioorganic Chemistry (SynBioC) and the Queen's University Ionic Liquid Laboratories (QUILL) and Queen's University Environmental Science and Technology (QUESTOR) Research Centres.
