I am a member of ARK, Northern Ireland's Social Policy Hub, and have directed the annual Young Life and Times (YLT) survey ([www.ark.ac.uk/ylt)](http://www.ark.ac.uk/ylt)) of 16-year olds since 2003. I am also involved in the running of ARK's annual Kids Life and Times (KLT) survey ([www.ark.ac.uk/klt](http://www.ark.ac.uk/klt)).
I am an active member of the Centre of Children's Rights.

I am a member of the ESRC Peer Review College and have been involved in grant awards panels for the ESRC, AHRC and MRC. I am also a member of the European Sociological Association (ESA) and the European Survey Research Association (ESRA).
