#### School certificate

- A certificate of secondary education obtained after 12 years of schooling, issued from June 2019, or
- A certificate of secondary education obtained after 11 years of schooling, issued up to and including 2018, or
- A certificate of secondary education obtained after 12 years of schooling, issued until about 1999 and, if available

#### Additional documents

- Proof of completion of the pre-university course, and/or
- Proof of passing the interuniversity entrance examination, and/or
- Proof of a successful academic year at a recognized university
- Kardani diploma from a state university or an Islamic Azad University and/or
- Bachelor's or licentiate degree from an Islamic Azad University and/or

## Requirements for Recognition as a University Entrance Qualification, in Short HZB

A subject-related HZB applies if the following conditions are fulfilled and the corresponding certificates are submitted:

## Certificates of secondary education and required supporting documents

### A certificate of secondary education obtained after 12 years of schooling, issued from June 2019, in one of the six possible specifications

**Theoretical tracks: Empirical sciences, Math and Physics, Literature / Arts and Humanities or Religion\
Technical-vocational/professional tracks**
**: Technical focus or Work and Knowledge**

and

- Proof of a successful academic year

### A certificate of secondary education obtained after 11 years of schooling, issued up to and including 2018

Plus either

- A Kardani diploma from a state university or an Islamic Azad University, and
- Proof of completion of the pre-university course, issued before 2011, and
- Proof of passing the interuniversity entrance examination

Or

- A Kardani diploma from a state university or an Islamic Azad University, and
- Proof of completion of the pre-university course, issued from 2011

Or

- Proof of completion of the pre-university course, issued from 2011, and
- Proof of a successful academic year

Or

- Proof of completion of the pre-university course, issued before 2011, and
- Proof of passing the interuniversity entrance examination, and
- Proof of a successful academic year\
  (With this combination, the school leaving grade is not relevant)

Or

- Proof of completion of the pre-university course, issued before 2011, and
- A Bachelor's or licentiate degree from an Islamic Azad University, obtained up to and including 2013.\
  Completion of a course of study lasting at least four years, provided that it was actually completed at a recognized university in accordance with the prescribed study standard and, as a rule, on a full-time basis.

Please note: In all cases, the secondary education certificate must show an overall grade of at least 15 in all cases.

### A certificate of secondary education obtained after 12 years of schooling, issued until about 1999

Plus either

- A Kardani diploma from a state university or an Islamic Azad University, and
- Proof of passing the interuniversity entrance examination

Or

- Proof of passing the interuniversity entrance examination, and
- Proof of a successful academic year

Or

- Bachelor or licentiate degree from an Islamic Azad University, obtained up to and including 2013. Completion of a course of study lasting at least four years, provided that the certificate was actually issued by a recognized university in accordance with the prescribed study standard and, as a rule, on a full-time basis.
