## Documents to Upload on RWTHonline as Part of Your Online Application

The OSSD transcript of records usually contains grades from school years 9 to 12. This transcript should be submitted.

If such a transcript is not available, an overview of grades from school years 11 to 12 can be accepted instead.

## Requirements for Recognition as a University Entrance Qualification (HZB)

A university entrance qualification is deemed valid if the following requirements are met:

1. The following must be demonstrated in your transcript of records (at the UPC level):\
   a. Two languages: English or French at native-speaker level, and one foreign language.\
   b. Mathematics: “Advanced Functions” and “Calculus and Vectors”.\
   c. A natural sciences subject: either biology, chemistry, or physics.\
   d. At least one subject equivalent to the upper secondary level of a German Gymnasium, excluding natural sciences or languages already covered.
2. Applicants must achieve a minimum overall average of 65% across the six University Preparation Courses (UPCs).
3. Each required subject must be completed through two full-year courses: one in 11th grade (level 3U) and one in 12th grade (level 4U). Each course is worth one credit point.

## Please Note

12th grade University Preparation Courses (UPCs) are labeled ‘4U’, except for foreign language courses, which end with ‘DU’. College courses and University/College courses (M courses) are not UPCs and cannot be used as substitutes.

‘Advanced Functions’ UPC is a mandatory prerequisite for the 'Calculus and Vectors' UPC. The ‘Advanced Functions’ UPC may be taken in either 11th or 12th grade.
