The Representatives for Staff with Disabilities (SBV) at RWTH serve as the elected body advocating for the interests of employees with severe disabilities or equivalent health impairments.

The representative and their deputies act on behalf of RWTH employees with severe disabilities, offering assistance and advice. Additionally, the RSD supports all employees with health impairments, even if they do not qualify as severely disabled.

This role is grounded in the legal framework of Social Code (SGB) IX.

All matters discussed with the Representatives for Staff with Disabilities are handled with strict confidentiality.

- Advancing inclusion
- Providing guidance on accessibility
- Mitigating conditions that negatively impact health
