Welcome to DTU! The Introduction Week offers you professional and social activities that will get you to know your study line, your peers, get a new group of friends, and be introduced to kickstart your DTU adventure!
How does it work?
A week before the Introduction Week, you will be assigned to a Buddy Group, which is led by your Buddy, an older student who will be your mentor and guide through this adventure.
They will contact you the latest the weekend before the Introduction Week either your student email or the email that you wrote down when you signed up. Always remember to check the Spam folder!
In this group, you will be mixed with students from different genders, nationalities and study lines, through an amazing algorithm which tries to make the groups as diverse as possible.
Our goal is to get you to see the diversity of DTU, a core value we try to spread.
Where does it take place?
All the Introduction Week activities from Monday to Thursday take place in the Lyngby Campus.
On Friday, you and your group will go to Copenhagen, and the meet up point will be agreed with your Buddy.
How is the schedule?
Introduction Week takes place 26-30 January 2026
We have prepared activities for you from 10:00 to 17:00, everyday. We hope you will join everything we have worked on.
You also have the option to join only the Academic Day on Wednesday to meet your study line, if a whole week is not for you. If you sign up to this option, you will not receive a Buddy Group.
Master's student or Exchange student?
Introduction Week has two different programmes. One is designed for Master's students, and the other for exchange students.
