Specialize in the operational aspects within, e.g., the shipping industry, optimizing everything from supply chains, ports, routes, energy consumption, to decision-making procedures. In addition, you will consider the alternative fuels of the future and their impact on sustainable development.

Specialization: Supply Chain Management and Logistics

Supply chain management and logistics have become increasingly critical in today's globalized economy. The success of a company's operations can make or break its competitiveness, profitability, and ability to satisfy customer demand. Therefore, there has been a growing interest in understanding and optimizing supply chain and logistics operations to achieve greater sustainability, efficiency and effectiveness.

The specialization in supply chain management and logistics involves various topics, including supply chain analytics, operations management, network and transport optimization, and sustainability. By studying these topics, you will gain insights into optimizing the supply chain and logistics operations to reduce costs, improve service levels, and enhance overall performance.

Mandatory course

All mandatory courses under the polytechnic foundation and programme specific courses must be completed, in addition, the following must be fulfilled:

If doing a thesis on 32.5 or 35 ECTS, the ECTS exceeding 30 will be taken from the elective category. E.g., if writing a 35 ECTS thesis, you will only have 25 ECTS electives available.

Specializations are merely recommended ways of choosing the courses in the curriculum. Applicants are not admitted to a specialization but to the programme and it is possible to choose among all the courses in the curriculum following the directions given. However, if a specialization has been fulfilled the title of the specialization may be added to the diploma.
