The dual degree programme provides you with a profound and wide knowledge of acoustics both of a practical as well as a theoretical nature.

As a dual degree master student—one year at DTU and one year at KAIST, Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology—you get a Danish and an international degree which gives you personal and academic skills and experiences.

Dual degree programme

The dual degree programme is an MSc programme of two years or four semesters open to MSc students at DTU and KAIST. The programme consists of three course work semesters followed by the master's thesis which you write during the fourth semester.

You study at KAIST for a period of two consecutive semesters, either the second and third semesters (and you write your master's thesis at DTU), or the third and fourth semesters (and you write your master's thesis at KAIST).

You will be assigned a DTU supervisor as well as a KAIST supervisor. Your fellow students will be domestic as well as international students, and the teaching is in English.

Credits

KAIST uses a credit transfer system similar to ECTS, the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System, applied by DTU where three KAIST credits equal ten ECTS credits.

During the four semesters, you must obtain 18 KAIST credits and 60 ECTS credits.

Admission procedure

The programme is open to MSc in Engineering Acoustics students at DTU upon application. Applications are evaluated by DTU and then reviewed and approved by KAIST. In order to apply for this programme you must first be admitted to the MSc in Engineering Acoustics at DTU. Students should apply no later than during their first semester on the MSc programme.
