Joseph E. Aoun, a well-known higher education thought leader and renowned scholar in linguistics, is the seventh president of Northeastern University.

Diane Nishigaya MacGillivray leads Northeastern’s strategic initiatives to build and expand strong ties with its 300,000-plus alumni, as well as parents, friends, and philanthropic organizations.

Thomas Nedell

Thomas E. Nedell manages the university’s financial affairs to help ensure that it has the budgetary resources to achieve its ambitious goals. His portfolio includes finance, audit and advisory services, and treasury, including oversight of the university’s endowment.

Office of the General Counsel
Mary B. Strother, an accomplished attorney and leader across a wide range of legal and public policy domains, serves as the chief legal, compliance, and risk officer for the university. She also directs the offices of labor relations and public safety.

Satyajit Dattagupta joined Northeastern as Chief Enrollment Management Officer, also serving as Executive Vice Chancellor and Head of Global Expansion. With a background in computer science, he brings a focused data-driven enrollment approach to lead the university’s growth.
