**Note**: The university is in the process of changing the nomenclature relating to parts of term. Effective Summer 2026, references in this catalog to Summer 1 and Summer 2 are "Session A" and "Session B" (in reference to summer classes) on the university's [Academic Calendar](https://registrar.northeastern.edu/group/calendar/). References to half terms also correlate to "A" and "B" terms on the Academic Calendar.
