Certain departments of the university shall have the power to set down rules and regulations governing the operation of the departments’ respective areas of responsibility. Such rules and regulations shall be in accord with the [Student Bill of Academic Rights and Responsibilities](https://catalog.northeastern.edu/graduate/academic-policies-procedures/students-bill-rights-responsibilities/), as well as with the policies described in this document.
