We’re setting the roadmap for the future of education by infusing AI into our experiential learning model, from experiential AI projects with employers to on-demand modules that build AI skills. We’re embracing AI intentionally throughout our academic ecosystem, guided by our focus on responsible, ethical use of AI, while preserving uniquely human skills.
OUR LEARNING STRATEGY
Leading the way for an AI-enabled university
Our world-leading approach goes beyond traditional AI courses. We’re embedding AI fluency and its practical application across all disciplines, ensuring that no matter what you’re studying you’ll graduate with the confidence and competency to leverage AI as a powerful tool.
We’re increasing project-based learning opportunities and providing co-ops that integrate AI, so that students can engage with companies to solve real AI business problems. Our collaborations with partners and our AI Industry Advisory Board will provide direct input that prepares our students to lead in AI-driven workplaces.
We’re supporting students to develop the capabilities they will need to be AI-ready and adopting the most effective practices for using AI in the classroom. Our faculty is primed to help students develop AI fluency in each of their disciplines; our approach ensures that we use AI responsibly as a tool, and that human agency and collaboration are at the center of the learning process.
A WORLD-LEADING APPROACH
Setting the standard for deep adoption of AI in education
AI enhanced experiential learning
Our initiatives are engaging students across our network in Northeastern’s AI adoption, helping our teams advance how we deploy AI throughout the institution. Through our experiential learning model, our students are already building and honing their practical—not just theoretical—AI skills in the workplace.
Partnership with Anthropic
We’ve partnered with Anthropic to design and build best practices for AI integration in higher education—including new AI-powered tools and frameworks for responsible AI adoption. We’re also pursuing joint research on efficacy and impact, and collaborating on thought leadership.
