## STEAM Teaching and Curriculum Development Experience

### Background of Co-organiser

[Big Bang Academy](http://www.bigbangacademyhk.com/) redefines Science education for children of 3-12 years old. We build tech-enabled solutions to make STEAM learning effective, engaging and accessible. Our mission is to promote and inspire self-driven learning through everything hands-on. We believe doing Science is the best medium to ignite children’s passion in learning, to enable them to become motivated and life-long learners.

- Awarded Most Outstanding STEAM Education Platform Of The Year

### Objectives

- To promote the STEAM hands-on learning experience to K-12 students
- To help students find their spark

### Project Details

- Teach Science class to students ranging from kindergarten to primary in local and international schools, such as Canadian International School, Malvern College Hong Kong and Aldrich Bay Government Primary School
- Coordinate with part-time and full-time teachers on the scheduling, ensuring adequate coverage for all science and STEM classes
- Write and develop hands-on STEAM curriculum for K-12 students
- Provide training and professional development opportunities for teachers to enhance their understanding and delivery of science and STEM curriculum
- Assist in any ad-hoc tasks assigned

- 13 October - 18 November 2025
- Monday to Friday, 9am – 6pm

### Location

Big Bang Academy Wan Chai Center

(Address: 18/F, Henan Building, 90 Jaffe Road, Wan Chai)

### Eligibility

- PGDE (full-time) students majoring in ​​Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Early Childhood Education
- Preferably with *Sex**ual Conviction Record Check* and/or *Standard First Aid C**ertification* but not compulsory

11:59pm, 3 September 2025

- Complete the application form at HKU Moodle (Part 1) **AND**
- Upload the following documents to the respective project folder at HKU Moodle (Part 2) (Please combine all documents into one Word/PDF file)
  1. A personal statement (of not more than 200 words) explaining why you would like to join this EL project
  2. Your updated CV
- Shortlisted students may be invited to attend an interview arranged by Big Bang Academy (details to be confirmed).
