30th Anniversary of Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences
We are excited to propose a fundraising campaign in honour of the 30th anniversary of the Department of Earth & Planetary Sciences. Since the establishment of the department, we have had a strong focus on advancing knowledge in geology, environmental science, and planetary sciences. We have established ourselves as a key player in the field of Geosciences.
All donations received will contribute to the overall growth and advancement of the Department, including research initiatives, facility enhancements, and support for student initiatives. Your support will help us continue our legacy of excellence and make a positive impact on the community. Together, we can go beyond 30 and pave the way for a brighter future in Earth Sciences.
Sharing Science to Save our Seas
SWIMS, based at Cape D’Aguilar Marine Reserve, connects the public with Hong Kong’s rich marine life through educational tours, interactive workshops, and a unique on-site museum. Your donation helps us inspire more people to protect our seas and support vital marine research.
Pioneering the Future: Innovative Research
Research is the backbone of scientific advancements. Support our researchers in breeding new insights and making groundbreaking discoveries in emerging fields.
Supporting Our PhD Students
Your generosity will enable us to provide our dedicated PhD students with the support they need to excel in their studies, so that they will be able to continue conducting important research that could potentially change the world.
Empowering Leaders of Tomorrow
Supporting UG students is a vital investment in the future of education and society as a whole. By donating to our cause, you can help us provide invaluable resources and opportunities that enrich the undergraduate experiences and to realise their potential.
Engaging the Community: Education & Outreach
The Hong Kong Biodiversity Museum is the first in the city dedicated to biodiversity and the home to 50,000 specimens of plants, fungi and animals. Support our endeavours to offer more educational activities that give the public a unique view of our natural heritage while promoting environmental education and fostering biodiversity appreciation.
