# Field Trips Abroad

Learning about art from books and on screens is fascinating, but seeing works *in situ*, examining masterpieces in close proximity, feeling their scale and texture, such experience is just incomparable. What is more, when students and teachers travel together, the trip could become one of the greatest memories in life!

The University and individual donors have been very supportive of Art History students in conducting overseas travels. In recent years, around 20-30 students each year benefit from the Art History Travel Grant Awards.
