HKU-Airstar Bank Joint University Case Competition 2024
HKU Business School collaborates with Airstar Bank Limited to organize the HKU-Airstar Bank Joint University Case Competition 2024 in April 2024. This competition is the annual signature event of HKU International Case Society (HICS), a student-run organization supported by the School which aims at facilitating mutual learning, networking, and a constant exchange of ideas among like-minded individuals. Students who participated in the competition are anticipated to strengthen their case competition techniques.
Apart from HICS members from HKU Business School, undergraduate students from City University of Hong Kong, The Chinese University of Hong Kong and The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology will also take part in this competition to compete for the Championship.
The competition comprises the Preliminary Round, Division Round and Grand Final Round.
The Preliminary Round was conducted by each participating institution in early 2024. 4 shortlisted representing teams from each participating institution will take part in the Division Round in the morning of April 14, 2024. A total of 16 teams will compete in 4 divisions. Each division consists of teams from 4 different universities. The best team from each division will enter the Grand Final Round.
The Grand Final Round takes place in the afternoon of April 14, 2024. The judging panel, consists of senior corporate management from Airstar Bank and leaders from various industries, will select the winning teams (Champion, 1st Runner-up and 2nd Runner-up) among the four finalists. Best Presenter will also be identified. The Champion and Best Presenter will be offered internship opportunities in Airstar Bank from June to August 2024.
Before the competition, an Industry Talk will be conducted by Airstar Bank where students will be able to gain better insight into the business of Airstar Bank as well as the FinTech industry before the case cracking.
