# HONG KONG SUB-DEGREES

## Admissions to Senior Year Places

Every year, we set aside several senior-year places for current students or graduates of a full-time associate degree (AD) or two-year or higher diploma programme (HD) from a community college in Hong Kong.

Where entrance requirements are met, final-year students are also eligible to apply provided their AD or HD will be completed by August 2026.

We welcome your application through our Direct Admissions Scheme to Senior Year Places.

## Programme Information

Senior-year applicants may choose up to three programmes. You may also include first-year programmes in your selection. Find out more about our [first-year programmes](/programme/undergraduate-course) and [entrance requirements](/apply/international-qualifications#admissions-standard).

Sub-degree students that gain entry to a first-year programme may receive credits towards their graduation based on previous academic results.

## Entrance Requirements

Senior-year applicants will be assessed based on their qualifications and academic achievements irrespective of the community college attended. Please note that meeting the basic university entrance requirements does not guarantee admission, as admission is on a competitive basis. Applicants applying for first-year programmes are expected to meet the [relevant entrance requirements.](/apply/international-qualifications#admissions-standard)

Candidates seeking admission to the major of "Chinese Language and Literature" are required to have achieved a minimum of Level 5 either in Chinese Language or Chinese Literature in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) Examination, or an equivalent standard in another public examination. |

You may be invited to attend an interview or entrance test. Not all candidates will need to participate in an assessment, and it’s by no means indicative of a likely offer. Faculty staff will notify candidates of the arrangements for any interview or test separately, if applicable.

All applicants are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of HKD600.

Tuition Fees

The tentative annual composition (tuition) fee for local students admitted in the academic year 2026-2027 is HK$47,000.\*
