Positive Education at Teengineer - The Institute of Positive Psychology (PGDE-FT)
Background of Co-organiser
Founded in 2014, Teengineer – The Insititute of Positive Psychology is one of the first institutes founded in Hong Kong to promote training, education and dissemination of Positive Psychology. We currently advise more than 100 schools and organisations on positive education and management strategies. Some of our partner organisations include the Education Bureau, Airport Authority, Hong Kong Jockey Club, Hong Kong Red Cross, etc. Our projects include resilience building, motivation enhancement, building high-quality connections, transcending limiting beliefs and reducing burnout.
Positive Psychology is the scientific study of the strengths that enables individuals and communities to thrive. The field is founded on the belief that people want to lead meaningful and fulfilling lives, to cultivate what is best within themselves, and to enhance their experiences of life. Our mission is to share our knowledge of the field for the benefits of the world.
Objectives
The Positive School Project (PSP) provides strategic development plans and tailored positive education solutions to our partner schools along their school improvement plan.
Project Details
Details of work assigned to students:
- Positive education concepts and classroom application
- Educational event management
- Curriculum design and materials development
- Group facilitation in positive educational events
Projects involved during the EL period:
- Co-develop positive education events
- Teach / group leading in positive education programmes
- Manage correspondence with partner schools
- Plan and execute school programmes
- Develop teaching materials
Date
- 13 October - 18 November 2025
- Monday to Friday, 10am to 6:30pm
- Special working hours:
- Compensation leaves will be offered to students who take up duties in occasional educational events outside of the regular hours.
Location

Primary location: Teengineer office at Unit D1, 8/F, Block A, Hop Hing Industrial Building, 704 Castle Peak Road, Lai Chi Kok (Two-minute walk from Lai Chi Kok MTR Exit C)

You will also be visiting different schools and universities with our team for on-site meetings and activities.
Eligibility
PGDE (full-time) students of all majors with the following qualities:
- having keen interest in positive education and related
- eager to learn how to apply positive education strategies in teaching
- flexible and open to new ideas
- curiosity and creativity
- good command of English and Chinese
- experience in graphic design / media production is a plus.
