Students who have successfully completed A-Levels or the International Baccalaureate will be considered for direct entry onto our undergraduate degrees. We may also consider recognised Foundation qualifications. For individual grade requirements for particular degree programmes please refer to the [undergraduate study section](https://www.qmul.ac.uk/undergraduate/) of this website.

We also consider students from France with either of the following qualifications:

- Diplôme du Baccalauréat
- Baccalauréat Français International

Our exact requirements depend on the course that you are applying for, but students usually need to obtain a minimum mark of between 13/20 and 15/20 overall. You may also be required to achieve certain grades in subjects relevant to the degree course.

This is Queen Mary’s equivalency table for GCE A-Levels and the Baccalauréat:

Please note, the Baccalauréat is not accepted for admission to either our MBBS or BDS programmes (but is accepted for all other undergraduate programmes). However, the Baccalauréat is accepted for our [MBBS programme delivered in the Republic of Malta](http://www.smd.qmul.ac.uk/undergraduate/malta/index.html).

## Postgraduate

We normally consider the following qualifications for entry to our postgraduate taught programmes: Licence; Grade de Licence; Diplome d'Ingenieur; or Maitrise from a recognised institution.\
\
**UK 1st class degree:** 14 out of 20\
**UK 2:1 degree:** 12 out of 20\
**UK 2:2 degree:** 11 out of 20
