Students who have successfully completed A-Levels or the International Baccalaureate will be considered for direct entry onto our undergraduate degrees. We may also consider recognised Foundation qualifications. For individual grade requirements for particular degree programmes please refer to the [undergraduate study section](https://www.qmul.ac.uk/undergraduate/) of this website.

We also consider students from Belgium with the following qualifications:

- Certificat d’Enseignement Secondaire Supérieur (CESS)
- Diploma van Hoger Secundair Onderwijs (GHSO)
- Abschlusszeugnis der Oberstufe des Sekundarunterrichts

This is Queen Mary’s equivalency table for GCE A-Levels and the above qualifications:

| AAB | 75% or 7.5/10 or 16/20 overall |

#### Undergraduate Medicine and Dentistry admissions

Please note, the Baccalauréat is not accepted for admission to either our MBBS or BDS programmes (but is accepted for all other undergraduate programmes). However, the Certificat d’Enseignement Secondaire Supérieur, Diploma van Hoger Secundair Onderwijs, and Abschlusszeugnis der Oberstufe des Sekundarunterrichts are all accepted for [our MBBS programme delivered in the Republic of Malta](http://www.smd.qmul.ac.uk/undergraduate/malta/index.html).

## Postgraduate

We normally consider the following qualifications for entry to our postgraduate taught programmes: Bachelor Degree (180 ECTS credits) from a recognised institution. \
\
**UK 1st class degree:** 80% or 16/20\*; or 78%\*\*\
**UK 2:1 degree:** 70% or 14/20\*; or 72%\*\*\
**UK 2:2 degree:** 60% or 12/20\*; or 65%\*\*

\*Flanders (Dutch-speaking)/ Wallonia (French-speaking)\
\*\*German-speaking
