Careers and Enterprise's Statement of Service

Who we are and who we work with

The QMUL Careers and Enterprise Service supports the development of employability skills and career prospects. Our aim is to give you the skills and confidence to enter the workplace and kickstart your career.  We do this through initiatives that help you understand your strengths, preferences and areas for development, identify opportunities, and learn about the world of work.

You can use us if:

What we expect from you

Whether you are a current student or a recent graduate, we expect you to adhere to the standards set out by the university. This would appear as:

Accessibility, equality and diversity

Queen Mary Careers and Enterprise is committed to equality, diversity and inclusion. We aim to ensure all individuals have an equal access to and benefit from our services and opportunities, regardless of any special or protected characteristics.

For specific resources supporting students with a disability, you can find out more here. For resources supporting students from a black and minority ethnic background , please see here.

Giving us feedback

Feedback, both positive and negative, underpins continuous, quality improvement of our service and is vital to us.

If you are a student or graduate of Queen Mary, we encourage you to try settling a complaint informally in the first instance. Please speak to a member of staff that you have been dealing with in Careers and Enterprise as soon as possible to explain your concerns.

Current students can contact us and submit a complaint via AskQM. Graduates can email us at careers@qmul.ac.uk.

If it has not been possible to reach an informal resolution, and you wish to pursue your complaint, complete the stage 1 complaint form (see policy link below) and send to j.baines@qmul.ac.uk.

Timescales and further steps are detailed in the Queen Mary Students Complaints Policy.
