Details on how to apply for undergraduate courses

How to apply

Students who have successfully completed A-Levels or the International Baccalaureate will be considered for direct entry onto our undergraduate degrees. We may also consider recognised Foundation qualifications. For individual grade requirements for particular degree programmes please refer to the undergraduate study section of this website.

We also consider students from Jamaica with the following qualifications:

A*AA equivalent AAA equivalent AAB equivalent ABB equivalent BBB equivalent Specific Grade Requirements
Six CAPE units with an overall grade of 1, including two double-unit courses with grade 1 Six CAPE units with an overall grade of 1, including two double-unit courses with grade 2 Six CAPE units with an overall grade of 2, including two double-unit courses with grade 2 Six CAPE units with an overall grade of 2, including two double-unit courses Six CAPE units with Grade 3 or above, including two double unit courses Schools will usually request grades in relevant subjects.

Please note, the CAPE is not accepted for admission to either our MBBS or BDS programmes (but is accepted for all other undergraduate programmes). However, the CAPE is accepted for our MBBS programme delivered in the Republic of Malta.

Postgraduate

We normally consider the following qualifications for entry to our postgraduate taught programmes: Bachelor Degree (minimum 3 years) from the University of West Indies (UWI) or a recognised institution.\ \ UK 1st class degree: GPA 3.7 out of 4.0; or First Class Honours from the UWI\ UK 2:1 degree: GPA 3.0 out of 4.0; or Upper Second Class Honours from the UWI\ UK 2:2 degree: GPA 2.4 out of 4.0; or Lower Second Class Honours from the UWI
