There are a number of sources of funding available for masters students for 2025-26 entry. These include a significant package of competitive Queen Mary scholarships in a range of subject areas, as well as external sources of funding. Our database enables you to search for scholarships via School/Country or both.

- ## Sekforde House Trust Scholarship

  Applicants must have a place at Queen Mary University of London. The scholarships are available for existing students at all levels as well as students who have places to study. Students applying will be assessed against the Sekforde House Trust criteria.
- ## The Qalaa Holdings Scholarship

  The Qalaa Holdings Scholarship Foundation was created in 2007 and grants academic scholarships for talented and promising young Egyptian men and women to pursue master degrees abroad in all fields of study.
- ## National Research and Innovation Agency of Uruguay (ANII)

  ANII (National Research and Innovation Agency of Uruguay) and Queen Mary are co-funding postgraduate scholarships for Uruguayan students to study any 1-year Masters or PhD programme.
- ## Unite Foundation Scholarship

  Queen Mary University of London works in partnership with the Unite Foundation to offer accommodation scholarships to young people who are care experienced or who are estranged from their families. The scholarship provides up to three years of free, year-round accommodation in a [Lynden House](https://www.qmul.ac.uk/residences/college/qmaccommodation/mileendpg/lynden/) in the Student Village at Queen Mary.

  [Historic Royal Palaces](https://www.hrp.org.uk/#gs.MsXlSqg) (HRP) truly values a diverse workforce and wishes to make careers in the heritage sector more accessible to people from all communities.  It also aims to help ensure everyone feels the palaces and heritage are for them and make them accessible and relevant for all.
- ## Global Financial Leaders PGT Scholarship

  The School of Economics and Finance is offering up to 52 scholarships to applicants from the selected MSc programmes. The scholarship is part of the school's Global Scholarships scheme, offering awards from £5,000 to £7,000.

- ## MSc Motorsport Scholarship Programme

  The MSc Motorsport Scholarship Programme, supported by Mission 44, helps UK-based students pursue a master’s degree in motorsport or a related field. Applicants must hold (or be completing) an undergraduate degree in engineering, a STEM subject, or a related field, and plan to study an MSc in motorsport or a related course in the UK for 2026/27. Graduates must have finished their undergraduate degree within the last five years and not already hold a Master’s or higher qualification in a related subject.

  Queen Mary’s Centre for Commercial Law Studies is pleased to be able to offer a progression scholarship for graduate LLB law students from Queen Mary and other University of London institutions.

  The scholarship applies to those who have achieved a **2.1 or above in their LLB Law degree** and is subject to checks by our admissions team.

  Queen Mary has partnered with the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) to fund PhDs in our Faculty of Science and Engineering and Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences

  Queen Mary is one of the largest supporters of the China Scholarship Council (CSC) in the UK and awards 60 joint QMUL-CSC PhD scholarships every year.
- ## Sanctuary Scholarship 2026/27

  Queen Mary University of London is offering tuition fee and maintenance support for up to two undergraduate students who are asylum seekers or have a temporary immigration status awarded as a result of a claim for asylum but outside of the immigration rules, studying on degree programmes in the Faculty of Science & Engineering or the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.

- ## John Davidson Chemistry Bursary

  This is a means tested scholarship for permanent residents in the City of London, the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, the London Borough of Newham or the London Borough of Hackney and have lived there for at least three years **or** a student who attended the Drapers' Academy Sixth Form in the London Borough of Havering.
- ## Derek Shuttleworth Educational Trust Scholarship

  This is a means tested scholarship for permanent residents in the London Borough of Hackney who have lived there for at least three years.
- ## Queen Mary Annual Fund Scholarship

  This is a means tested bursary for permanent residents (at least 3 years) in the City of London, the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, the London Borough of Newham or the London Borough of Hackney **or** students who have attended the Drapers' Academy Sixth Form in the London Borough of Havering.
- ## Leverhulme Trade Charities Trust Undergraduate Bursary

  The Trust award bursaries of up to £3,000 a year for UK university students, who are in financial need, and whose parent or spouse is a commercial traveller, pharmacist or grocer, or the applicant themselves is employed in this capacity.
- ## William Spilsbury Scholarship 2026/27

  This is a means tested bursary for permanent residents (at least three years) in the City of London, the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, the London Borough of Newham or the London Borough of Hackney.
- ## London Borough of Tower Hamlets University Bursary

  This is a means tested bursary for residents in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets of at least 3 years unless you are a refugee on the Ukraine or Afghan scheme.
- ## Sally Sainsbury History Scholarship

  This is a means tested bursary for permanent residents (at least three years) in the City of London, the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, the London Borough of Newham or the London Borough of Hackney.
- ## Global Talent Scholarship – Undergraduate

  Queen Mary University of London is delighted to offer Global Talent Scholarships worth up to £12,000 for highly qualified undergraduate offer holders joining us in September 2026.
- ## BP Finance UG Scholarship

  This is a scholarship offered by bp to QMUL students. The BP Finance Scholarship will offer you a fully funded university education (tuition fees and a living expenses allowance) equivalent to £25,000 per academic year.

  The Flying Start Financial Bursary is aimed at supporting students with the day-to-day costs of university life. - ## Economics and Finance Placement Scholarship

  The aim of the Economics and Finance Placement Scholarship is to support home students from the School of Economics and Finance with a low household income to take the year in industry programme.

  National Program of Scholarships and Educational Loans (PRONABEC), funds Peruvians to study for a Master's or Doctorate studies at the 400 top universities in the world.
- ## ANID (Becas Chile)

  Queen Mary part-funds a number of awards in conjunction with ANID (National Agency for Research and Development). This scholarship is available to Masters and PhD applicants from Chile, in any subject.
- ## HSS PhD Studentships 2024

  We are offering fully-funded PhD studentships in all areas that fall within the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences for September 2025 entry. Part-time applicants and current first-year students are eligible to apply.
- ## Bentham-Moxon Trust B.A. Krukoff Fellowship Bursary in Tropical African Botany

  A fully funded bursary is available for a student to study on the MSc in Plant & Fungal Taxonomy, Diversity and Conservation. This opportunity is aimed at students with an interest and background in tropical African botany.
- ## Turkish Embassy Scholarships

  Queen Mary is delighted to be working with The Republic of Turkey Ministry of National Education to offer Masters and PhD scholarships across a variety of disciplines.
- ## The Simon Shades Award - Brun Bear Foundation

- ## Vasyli Award, Royal College of Podiatry for Podiatric Sports Medicine

  This award was created after the founder of the [Vasyli Foundation](http://vasylifoundation.org/) and world-renowned podiatrist, Phillip Vasyli, passed away in 2015. As part of his legacy, he wished to further the education of podiatrists in the field of podiatric sports medicine.

- ## Queen Mary Alumni Loyalty Award

  If you are a Queen Mary graduate you may be eligible for £1,000 off your postgraduate degree tuition fees for the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry or a 10% discount for programmes in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and programmes in Faculty of Science and Engineering.
- ## Law Undergraduate Bursaries and Scholarships

  The School of Law offers a range of scholarships and bursaries for undergraduate students.
- ## Roy Goode Scholarship (Postgraduate Law)

  This prestigious award is bestowed in honour of the founder of the Centre for Commercial Law Studies, Professor Sir Roy Goode. The successful scholarship candidate will receive a half tuition fee waiver.
- ## London Natural Sciences (NERC) DTP

  The London NERC DTP is a partnership of nine prestigious research organisations across London, funded by the Natural Environment Research Council. The DTP currently funds 142 PhD students in natural science PhDs.
- ## Guatefuturo Scholarships

  Fundacion Guatefuturo (GUATEFUTURO) offers scholarships for Guatemalans to study abroad.
- ## Sheikh Family Scholars’ Fund

  The COSARAF Foundation is pleased to announce the launch of the Sheikh Family Scholars’ Fund for Muslim undergraduate home students in financial difficulties.
- ## London Interdisciplinary Social Science DTP

  The Economic & Social Research Council (ESRC) funds the London Interdisciplinary Social Science Doctoral Training Partnership (LISS DTP) for PhD or Masters+PhD study at Queen Mary.
