Study options

Apply for this degree with any of the following options. Take care to use the correct UCAS code - it may not be possible to change your selection later.

Integrated foundation year

International students can apply for our Business Management BSc with an Integrated Foundation Year. The foundation year prepares you for the rest of the programme and is taught on campus by Queen Mary lecturers.

Year in industry

This option will allow you to spend the third year of your degree on an industry placement with an employer, in a role relevant to your field of study. After the placement, you will return to university to complete your final year of study, meaning your degree programme will last for four years in total.

Testimonial

“The connectivity you find at Queen Mary is what makes it so unique. I’m from rural Switzerland and have made friends with people from across the globe and on different programmes who’ve expanded my horizons, which is so important if you’re studying Business Management. I’ve learned to get out of my comfort zone and be active. Being in London is a fantastic opportunity for alumni networkingopportunities and careers support. It’s why I chose it as a city - I wanted that close connection with a professional environment.”

Teaching

Teaching and learning

Teaching and research are based on three pillars: governance; social justice and sustainability; as well as the UN Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME).

You'll receive approximately two hours of weekly contact time per module, comprising lectures led by academic staff and smaller seminar groups.

For every hour spent in class, you’ll complete a further two to three hours of independent study. You'll have access to well-designed resources for this self-directed study, and we will pair you with an academic advisor to support your progress at all stages of your degree.
