International Relations and Organisations (BSc)

Continuing your studies

A bachelor’s in International Relations and Organisations gives you a good start for a further career. Deepening your knowledge and sharpening your skills by taking up a master’s programme, is a logical, and smart, next step.

Master or Research Master?

During your studies, you deal with different subjects and themes. You will notice that some courses fit you better than others. Hence the logic of the IRO programme: from general to specific, from broad to specialised. This is reflected in the Political Science master’s curriculum. We offer several specialisations, each focusing on a particular issue and employing a specific methodology.

Below you will find the Leiden master’s that are recommended as a continuation of your bachelor studies. These programmes are English-taught (please note that the Dutch Politics specialisation requires some command of the Dutch language).

Master’s specialisations Political Science

Democracy and Representation

Dutch Politics

International Organisation

International Politics

Nationalism, Ethnic Conflict, and Development

Political Theory: Legitimacy and Justice

The Politics of Artificial Intelligence
