Bank transfer information

Are you transferring funds to Leiden University as part of your visa or residence permit application?

Check which bank account

Leiden University has two different bank accounts. One for visa/residence permit fees and living expenses, and the other for tuition fees. Check carefully below which bank account you must use for each payment type.

Visa/residence permit fee and living expenses

When transferring funds, always state the nature of the transfer, followed by your seven digit student number (from uSis) and your full name. For example:

Bank account details

Account holder: Leiden University\ IBAN: NL95RABO0160632285\ BIC/SWIFT: RABONL2U

Leiden University\ Rapenburg 70\ 2311 EZ Leiden

Rabobank\ Croeselaan 18\ 3521 CB Utrecht\ The Netherlands

Be aware that your bank may charge a fee for bank transfers. You are responsible for payment of any bank fees incurred. Please make sure that Leiden University receives the correct amount after the deduction of any bank charges.

Tuition fee

When transferring tuition fees, always state your seven digit student number (from uSis) and your full name.

Bank account details

Account holder: Leiden University\ IBAN: NL71RABO0103257217\ BIC/SWIFT: RABONL2U

Note: if you transfer funds to the wrong account, we cannot process the payment and the funds will be returned to you. You will therefore have to arrange a new transfer which will  significantly slow down the processing of your visa/residence permit request.
