# Borrow a laptop

You need a laptop for your studies at **Ghent University**.\
For most programmes, a basic working laptop is sufficient, but for some programmes, a more advanced model may be required.

## Submit application

- Request your laptop if you need a temporary loan.
- You submit the application via 'the Social Services student portal'.

## Eligibility requirements

- Ghent University student with a diploma contract of at least 27 credits (exception: diploma year).
- Registered for a bachelor's degree, master's degree, educational master's degree, preparatory course or linking course.
- Until obtaining a 1st master's degree.
- Maximum loan period for 12 months not exceeded.

## Picking up / returning your laptop

- Submit your application first and wait for approval before picking up your laptop.
