The UCD STEM Early Career Researchers Symposium
The UCD STEM Early Career Researchers Symposium is an annual event, held on campus since 2023, aimed at bringing together graduate research students and postdoctoral fellows from the UCD College of Engineering & Architecture and the UCD College of Science. The STEM Symposium is traditionally held as two large poster sessions held on campus, separated by a lunch break. This allows for sufficient time for all poster presenters to showcase their latest research and present their results while also being able to browse the work of their colleagues in a friendly and collegial atmosphere.
The posters presented by PhD and Research Master's students are ranked by a diverse group of judges comprised of postdoctoral fellows and academic faculty members, and some of the best presentations are recognised with four awards for each participating college. The entire UCD community is warmly encouraged to attend, browse and discuss the work presented at the Symposium each year.
