### Exchanges, Erasmus+, and Study Abroad Opportunities for UCD Students

## Learning Abroad Opportunities

Spend anything from a month, trimester or full academic year abroad and in some cases, earn credit that counts towards your UCD degree. Opportunities are available through:

- **Exchange & Erasmus+:** Study at our Erasmus+ and other partner institutions worldwide without additional tuition fees.
- **Erasmus+ BIPs:** Blended Intensive Programmes (BIPs) are short-term international study opportunities within any of the EU member states or associated countries.
- **Erasmus+ Traineeships:** Gain work experience abroad.
- **Outgoing Short-term Mobilities:** Usually lasting between 5 days to 3 months and running in the summer, but there are programmes available throughout the year.

UCD also offers other opportunities, through UCD Volunteers Overseas, Erasmus+ ICM, NICE and Universitas 21.

##### Erasmus Charter for Higher Education

UCD’s current Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE) was awarded in December 2020, enabling participation in the Erasmus+ programme 2021-27.
