The David R. Cheriton School of Computer Science is among the leading computer science institutions in the world and is [ranked number one for program and research reputation in Canada](https://cs.uwaterloo.ca/news/macleans-ranks-waterloos-computer-science-program-first-in-canada-fifth-consecutive-year) for the fifth year in a row, according to the *Maclean’s* 2025 university rankings.
